Official match programme from the 1973 F.A. Cup Final between holders Leeds United and Sunderland played at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 5th May 1973. In one of the biggest ever F.A. Cup Final shocks, 2nd Division Sunderland lifted the trophy with a 1-0 win thanks to an Ian Porterfield goal. It remains their only major trophy since World War II. This was Wembley Stadium’s Jubilee year with the first F.A. Cup Final being played there in 1923. This glossy 32 page colour programme certainly does justice to the occasion. It is packed with articles and features with both teams receiving excellent coverage. There is also an impressive gallery of photographs.
